LE PAJARE
PAJARE SALENTO
Pajara Experience
The Pajara or Trullo Leccese is the most characteristic structure of our village and unlike the famous Trulli of Alberobello with a pointed roof, the “Trullo Leccese” is characterized by a flat roof.
Entirely built in stone, the Pajara dates back to the Byzantine era, when farmers used these structures to shelter from the weather and summer heat, but also to store tools or as a bed during hard work in the fields.
All our Pajare have been internally renovated with a modern style, have large outdoor terraces, furnished with tables, sofas and garden chairs and directly overlook the citrus grove or the Borgo.
